Governing Body

Governance is the key activity that connects the management and faculty with the stakeholders, i.e., the students, parents, recruiters, and the community at large. To ensure its efficiency and effectiveness, a number of administrative, academic, co-curricular and general bodies have been constituted with their duties and responsibilities.

Administrative Bodies-Governing Body

The governing body members of our Institution are distinguished educationist and industrialist. The members of the governing body set the goals and make strategic plan directions to achieve goals and objectives of the institution. The prominent features of governing body is their transparency and decentralization of activities. They ensure the organization is accountable, legal and financially stable.

The Governing body meets every six months, where the principal presents information on the academic performance, all activities carried out and the achievements of the faculty and students during the previous semester. Deliberations and discussions are held and decisions are taken on policy changes if any, budgetary allocations and on any other issue that needs to be addressed for the forthcoming semester.

Functions and Responsibilities of Governing Body:

  • To set the goal and objectives of the Institution.
  • Develop policies and steer relationship, collaboration with industry, public and stake holders.
  • Planning for the proposal of new programmes and additional intake of existing programmes.
  • To approve the annual budget and financial estimate of the institute.
  • Monitoring the academic performance, training and placement of the students and suggest ideas to improve wherever necessary.
  • Planning and monitoring for Faculty recruitment, deployment and development.
  • Approval for the modernization of the laboratory and Research & Development in the Institute.
