About the Department
B.Tech with specialization in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science degree program has experienced an increasing demand in the Global market over the last few years. It is powered by the disruption in the use of Internet, substantial usage of smart phones, innovations in social media, online banking, etc. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Students are transformed to industry ready professionals by building smart machines with cutting edge technologies.
This Curriculum Aims To Enhance The Following Key Attributes Among Students
- The program encompasses emerging areas in the field of Data Science, Data Engineering and Advanced Analytics through application-oriented and student-centric learning.
- The program fosters students to get expertise in critical skills such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Product development, scripting languages and Mathematical modeling.

HOD Profile
Dr.T.KalaiChelvi, M.E., Ph.D.,
Professor & Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
Dr. T. KalaiChelvi has received her M.E., and Ph.D., from Sathyabama University, India in Computer Science and Engineering. She has more than 23 years of teaching experience. She published more than 50 papers at national and international level. Her research are in the field of IoT, Network Security, Data Mining, Neural Network, Artificial Intelligence, Image processing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning etc.
She has received the Best Professor Award in appreciation and Recognition of outstanding performance in Teaching, Research and publication from ESN IND-SL International. She received ‘Distinguished Professor’ award from the CSI TechNext India for the successful Demonstration of Innovate and Outstanding Teaching Methodology. She received the professional achievement award by IEEE madras section, Received best Faculty of the year Specific Innovations, Manifest Proto types and patents by CSI Mumbai Tech Next India. Received Best Faculty of the year – Funded Research – Govt or Industry funded Research Projects by CSI Mumbai TechNext India. Best Teacher Award from Institute of Exploring Advances in Engineering (IEAE) International Journals accredited by EA-JAS.

Department Advisory Board
The role of the Department Advisory Board (DAB) is to provide input and guidance to the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to achieve our mission of providing top-quality educational experiences for our students.The board has been integral in evaluating and strengthening our program to ensure we meet the needs of our students. The board meets twice per year.
